Introductory Handpans

For many years I have been asked if I can provide any "beginner handpans".  Which historically means, lower price and lower quality.  Since life is short I have had no desire to do less than I can when it comes to building handpans.  It has been my goal to strive for the best I can do and push further into the fine details that set good and great instruments apart.  It is the many subtleties developed over many years that makes something special.  After 10 years of building handpans professionally, I feel I can finally offer a new line of instruments geared towards an introductory experience that still has the crucial basics of a quality handpan.

I am finally making the "JourneyPan" an official line of instruments that will not only be at times immediately available online, they will also be available to custom order! Sometimes there will be an experimental instrument listed as well, much like past JourneyPans have been.

These will still be pneumatically hand hammered by me, they will still be built on my current 1.0mm 439ss shells, and they will still be meticulously tuned, balanced and stabilized by me!

With limited scale options starting at C3 center and a maximum of 10 notes, among the biggest differences is that these instruments will feature more traditional shaping with deeper borders as opposed to the smoother borders of the Veritas line. Unlike Veritas Sound Sculptures, JourneyPans are designed without the usual aesthetics of the Veritas instruments.  There will not be the usual gold rim on the ding/port/flange and will incorporate a rubber trim around the flange instead of polished.

Priced at $1550 plus shipping (fun fact: this is exactly what I paid for my Panart Hang in 2006!), each instrument includes your choice of an Evatek Airtek bag or a Namana Panda Bag, with the option to upgrade to a Black Evatek Hardcase for an additional $150.

You can also upgrade to the Veritas Sound Sculpture aesthetics (polished ding/flange/port) for an additional $250.
